When Daybreak Comes

£1,700.00Price
  • This piece holds the moment when darkness lifts and light breaks through — a visual embodiment of renewal. For me, it reflects the long journey from simply existing with ME, scoliosis, and anxiety, to creating with purpose and self-belief. My shift from tight, controlled anatomical work to the fluid unpredictable nature of alcohol inks has been both a creative and personal liberation. In this process, I have learned to let go, to follow where the medium wants to take me, and to meet each new day with openness rather than expectation. Just as dawn arrives whether we are ready or not, the work reminds me that transformation can be slow, but it always comes.

A Peek Into The Artistic Process

By layering pigmented alcohol inks and applying experimental techniques, Fran creates a sense of flow and depth in her work. The symbiotic collaboration with the inks yields surprising outcomes—making each piece completely one-of-a-kind.

Art For Change

Water features heavily in Fran’s work—its fluidity, movement, and unpredictability mirror the way alcohol inks flow across the surface, creating pieces that feel organic and alive. Just as Fran collaborates with the inks, we must collaborate with nature, protecting the waters that sustain us.

That’s why Fran is committed to donating 2% of every original painting sale to The Ocean Cleanup, a charity working to remove plastic from our rivers and oceans. Keeping them clean isn’t just about the environment—it’s about preserving the beauty, serenity, and life force that water brings to all life on Earth.
