The Inevitability Of Change

£2,800.00Price
  • The Inevitability of Change is a piece shaped by the constant rise and fall of my own life over the past year. Living with chronic illness has taught me that nothing stays the same for long — energy shifts, emotions shift, circumstances shift — and this work mirrors that rhythm through its flowing peaks, valleys, and soft, layered drips.
The inspiration came from learning to accept change instead of resisting it. I wanted the painting to hold that feeling of movement — like you’re watching something transform in real time. The colours move gently into one another, creating a landscape that never fully settles, which is exactly how life feels to me right now: always shifting, always evolving, always asking for a little more trust.

A Peek Into The Artistic Process

By layering pigmented alcohol inks and applying experimental techniques, Fran creates a sense of flow and depth in her work. The symbiotic collaboration with the inks yields surprising outcomes—making each piece completely one-of-a-kind.

Art For Change

Water features heavily in Fran’s work—its fluidity, movement, and unpredictability mirror the way alcohol inks flow across the surface, creating pieces that feel organic and alive. Just as Fran collaborates with the inks, we must collaborate with nature, protecting the waters that sustain us.

That’s why Fran is committed to donating 2% of every original painting sale to The Ocean Cleanup, a charity working to remove plastic from our rivers and oceans. Keeping them clean isn’t just about the environment—it’s about preserving the beauty, serenity, and life force that water brings to all life on Earth.
