This Too Shall Pass
This Too Shall Pass sits somewhere between rain on a window and a distant coastal horizon. Inspired by the colours of the South Shields, the piece moves through muted greens, soft greys, and a lift of blue at the top — that small, familiar glimpse of clearer weather.
It’s a work exploring transience: how storms move, how light returns in its own time, how nothing — not the heaviness, not the overwhelm, not the good moments either — ever stays fixed. The title is a phrase I say to myself often, especially on the harder days living with ME. A reminder that every feeling, every season, every state of the body is temporary.
