Affordable Art Fair Round Up

Earlier this month two of my alcohol ink paintings made their way to the Affordable Art Fair at Battersea Power Station, represented by Folly and Muse Gallery. While I wasn't there in person, it was genuinely exciting to know my work was hanging in one of the UK's most well-loved art fairs — out in the world, being seen by new eyes.
The two pieces shown were Shards and This Too Shall Pass, both alcohol ink works that I really love making. There's something about the unpredictability of alcohol ink, the way it moves and pools and resists control, that feels so alive. These two pieces in particular carry a lot of that energy, and seeing them hung together in the booth felt really good to see. (Albeit through a picture)
Art fairs are funny things. They're loud and busy and people move quickly, it's not always the environment where a quieter, more contemplative piece gets the deep look it deserves. Visibility is its own kind of work. But I hope that every person who paused in front of Shards or This Too Shall Pass, even for a moment, is someone who might carry a little piece of the message of the work with them.
If you'd like to see more of my work or enquire about these pieces, you can get in touch directly. I'd love to hear from you.
